CLWYD FTC - INFORMAL COMPETITIONS
NATURE OF COMPETITIONS
At the time of compiling this document, there are four distinct competitions,
held each Sunday.
Entry is optional.
-
Normal thirty-target FTC course.
-
Spring gun competition (guns must be fully recoiling and have no optical
assistance).
-
Standing competition with fully recoiling gun (optical assistance permitted).
-
Ditto, non-recoiling guns. The proprietor, or his stand in, has an
absolute power to decide whether a gun is recoiling or non-recoiling.
SPIRIT OF THE COMPETITIONS
The competitions are intended to foster friendly competition, and provide
trophies for high performance. Any consequence of the competitions
that tends towards disharm-ony is contrary to the spirit of the competitions.
Any dispute as to the rules, or implementation of the rules, will be
interpreted and decided upon by an ad hoc meeting of committee members
available at the time, bearing in mind the above-stated spirit.
RULES.
The following are absolute rules, and any infringement will result in
disqualification from the competition, and the score will not count towards
any league or other prize.
-
Only on shot per target.
-
No practice shots, before or after.
-
Shots must be taken from behind the wire (shooter's nose must be behind
the wire). shots taken from the side of the wire are not permitted.
-
Score sheets must be marked after each shot. Committee members are
authorised to inspect score sheets at any time.
-
No method of range-finding, other than the use of telescopic sight, is
permitted.
-
In the event of a tie, there will be a shoot off. If a shooter has
left early, and is unavailable for the shoot off, his/her rights are forfeit.
-
All committee members are authorised to disqualify by marking the offender's
score sheet accordingly. Any dispute so caused will be settled by an ad
hoc committee meeting as above.
It should be borne in mind that shooters like to take their shot in silence.
CLASSES
With respect to the main, thirty-target course, shooters will shoot
in the classes determined by the club (See Below). Newcomers will
be classified as premier Class for their first shoot.
The class in which a person shoots is determined by the results of
